An Early Birthday Celebration

Our good friends the Burgesses are going to be out of town when Lily has her birthday party on Sunday, so they came over this afternoon to celebrate early!


And then later this evening, we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa Corning too since they'll be heading back to Iowa early Sunday morning.

What a special treat to have an early birthday celebration!

Children's Museum

Here are a few pictures from our visit to the Children's Museum of Houston.  This was our first trip since the museum's recent updates were completed, and we had a great time!  We'll have to go back when Dylan starts crawling so he can enjoy the Tots area.

Tummy Time with Tad

Bumbo Seat

This is the first time Dylan sat in his bumbo seat.  He really liked it... And he also liked all the attention he got from Lily while he was sitting there!  Here you can see her ever-so-gently, lovingly "bonk" his head and share toys with him.  I'm sure Dylan wondered why she was handing him a pink bear half as big as Dylan himself, but he held onto it just the same.  Lily is such a sweet big sister.  She goes out of her way to take care of Dylan and share with him.  Let's enjoy this while it lasts, shall we?

Gymnastics Party

Michael's birthday party was at Victory Sports, which happens to be where Lily goes to gymnastics classes.  All the kids had a great time playing in the gym, and here are some pictures of Lily on the big swing.

New Year's Eve

We had our 5th Annual New Year's Eve Party here at our house. This is something we really love doing every year. It's just a relaxed, fun evening with friends. This year we celebrated Michael's birthday before the kids went to bed, and then the grownups hung out and played games late into the night. We had a great time!
