Rough-housing

Dylan is big enough now to basically tackle his older sister, all in good fun.  They love to chase each other around the house and roll around on the floor together like this.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a really nice Thanksgiving! We split up the cooking between the Swans, Morrows, and us. We just hung out with friends all day - and that in itself is such a blessing to be thankful for. The picture of Lily sticking an arrow on Dylan's forehead cracks me up. We were trying to get a group picture of the kids, but this is the best we could do.

Video - Dylan Playing with Car

Dylan Playing Blocks with Daddy

Dylan Decorating Tree

Dylan wants to decorate the Christmas tree too, so he has started putting his teethers and other toys on the tree. He just sets them gently on the branches; sometimes they stay there, and sometimes they fall. Either way, he's proud of himself and claps his hands. Wooden blocks and even the remote control have already made their way to the Christmas tree - I wonder what else he'll try to decorate with!

Dylan Going Downstairs

Dylan is learning to go down the stairs on his belly. He'll go a few steps at a time, but then he starts to go back UP the stairs. Silly boy. In these pictures he made it all the way to the bottom, though.

Christmas Tree

Here are some pictures of our decorated Christmas tree, without and then with the lights turned on. I love how with the lights on in the evening, you can even see the outdoor icicle lights above the front door. Our tree topper was another after-Christmas-sale item we picked up last year and forgot about until we pulled out our decorations this year. We hung the stockings along the stairway because we didn't want the kids to pull stocking holders off the mantel and onto their little heads. We love the way they look on the banister behind the tree! Dylan is getting so big... He has been climbing into the rocking chair all by himself for a few weeks now, sitting there to rock. He is such a sweet, lovey, cuddly boy.
