Hotel Balcony

Our hotel rooms were on the upper level poolside balcony, so we hung out together on the balcony instead of inside our rooms.  We even brought a table and chairs up from the pool area!

Once it got dark on Independence Day, some of us went outside to the hotel parking lot and were able to see fireworks from a few different places.

Baby Cousins

Our vacation in Omaha was the first time Callie and Dylan have ever been together. It was wonderful to finally meet Callie for the first time! She and Dylan are about a month apart, and they're basically the same size. They had lots of fun on vacation, and we all had fun watching them play.

Arcade at Coco Key

There is an arcade at Coco Key, and we walked through it each time we were on our way to or from the water park... Needless to say, we also spent some time playing the games!  Here are some pictures of Dusty and Lily playing a race car game.

Vacation at Coco Key

We enjoyed our time at Coco Key Water Resort!  Lily was not quite tall enough to go down the bigger slides, but she liked the small ones.  At the water park only one person can go down the small slides at a time, so they wouldn't allow us to take Dylan down the slide - but he could go down by himself!  I think he was a little scared on the way down the slide, but once he made it to the bottom he was as happy as could be.  The lazy river was fun for everyone, and Mommy and Daddy had fun on the big slides.  The kids had so much fun playing with cousins and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Corning.  When we weren't in the water we hung out in the cabana, where Dylan took a really long nap.  Whenever Lily got tired she would come into the cabana for snuggling and hugs.

Brown Family Reunion Celebration

We all enjoyed a wonderful dinner together during the Brown Family Reunion.

Vacation Day 2

We arrived in Omaha Friday afternoon after another smooth day of driving.  The whole Brown family gathered together Friday evening at one of the hotel entrances, waiting for Grandma and Granddad Brown to return from dinner.  Granddad was very surprised!

Lily wanted Reagan to sleep with her the whole weekend.  Lily always went to bed first, but when Reagan went to bed later Lily snuggled up to her in her sleep.  It was very cute!

Vacation - First Day of Travel

VACATION

We looked forward to this vacation for nearly a year, and it was fantastic!  The original idea for the vacation started with Grandma Brown planning a surprise party over the 4th of July weekend to celebrate her and Granddad's 25th wedding anniversary this year.  She made plans for a family reunion at the Coco Key Water Resort in Omaha, Nebraska.  Dusty and I decided to extend our vacation to spend time with my side of the family as well.   So we headed north on Thursday, July 1st and returned home on Sunday, July 12th.  We allowed two days for driving each direction, so the trip wasn't too difficult with our little kids.  We had such a good time visiting with family and hanging out in the water.  It was a great vacation!

We left Sugar Land around 8:00 in the morning, after stopping at Home Depot to change a few bungee cords on the roof rack of the car.  (We purchased cross bars and a "roof basket" to hold cargo on top of my CR-V; I wish I had taken a picture of the car loaded up with all our stuff for an 11-day vacation!)  We drove until about 6pm, arriving in Blackwell, Oklahoma, where we stayed at the Comfort Inn.  The kids did remarkably well in the car all day!  Dylan slept most of the day, while Lily watched movies in the morning and took a long nap in the afternoon.  Dusty took Lily swimming after dinner to burn off some energy, and she settled down easily for bedtime.  Dylan, however, did not sleep well this first night of vacation.  He just slept too much during the day, so he was wide awake off and on during the night.  Particularly between 3 and 4:30 a.m.  Needless to say, Mommy was a little sleepy on Travel Day 2!

Here are some pictures from swimming at the hotel.
